How to create a contact group

You can create groups from the "Contacts" menu, as follows:  

1. In the main menu (left), go to "Contacts - Groups" and click on 'Add'.
2. Enter the name of the group and click on 'Save':

How to assign a contact group

Groups can be assigned to a specific contact or to a group of contacts that you import into your list.

Assign a group to a contact

1. In the main menu (left), go to "Contacts - Manage contacts" and click on the edit icon on the contact you are interested in.
2. In the "Contact groups" section you can see the groups assigned to this contact and you can select other existing groups, or you can create a new group by typing it in the 'Assign groups' field and pressing 'enter'.
3. Then click on 'Save':

Assign a group to several contacts

If you are importing contacts, in the third step you can assign or create a new group by typing the name of the group and pressing 'enter':

Note that if you want to add a group to a contact that already has another group assigned to it, in the second step you will have to select YES under 'Update data' in the Import options section.

How to segment by contact group

In the main menu (left), go to "Contacts - Segments" and click on 'Add'. Enter the following fields:

• Segment name: Enter a name that will help you remember the segment, it is not visible to subscribers.
• List: Select the list of contacts
• Match type: The default match type.
• Segment rules:
  • 1st field: Select 'Groups'.
  • 2nd field: Select 'Belongs'.
  • 3rd field: Select the group you are interested in

How to send to a contact group

1. In the main menu (left), go to "Campaigns - Send Campaign".
2. Select the segment containing the desired group.

How to check which groups a contact belongs to

1. In the main menu (left), go to "Contacts - Manage contacts" and click on the edit icon of the contact you are interested in.
2. In the "Contact groups" section you can see the groups assigned to this contact and you can assign other groups to this contact.
