How to create a template

Working with templates is highly recommended as it allows you to have a design with your logo, colours and content blocks ready for you to use as the basis of your email campaign. In Acrelia News we offer you different alternatives to create templates:

Predesigned templates

They are templates designed by our team, which you can use for free and allow you to get a professional result for your campaigns at zero cost. You can use them directly or customise them and adapt them to your corporate image using our intuitive online editor.

To use a pre-designed template you must follow these steps:

1. In the main menu select "Resources - My Templates".
2. Click on the "Add" button
3. Click on the "Predesigned Templates" or "Basic Templates" tab, depending on your needs. You can preview each pre-designed template by clicking the button on each template.
4. Choose the template you like best and click 'Select'.
5. Type in the name you want to give to your template. A new template will be created under 'Resources - My Templates' using the template you have selected. 
6. In the main menu, go to 'Resources - My Templates' to view the template you have created.
7. If you want to customise the content of the template and adapt it to your corporate image, click on the "Edit" icon. You can put your logo, change colours, add or remove blocks... When you have finished click on "Save".

You can select the template you have created whenever you want to use it to create an email campaign (Campaigns - Create a new campaign). Just select your new template in the "My templates" tab and click "Select".

Design your own template

You can create your own templates from scratch using the online editor by adding the blocks of elements you need and using your colours and logo.

To design your own template follow the steps below:

1. In the main menu select "Resources - My Templates"
2. Click on the "Add" button
3. Click on the tab "Basic Templates". 
4. The first template is called "Blank" and is a blank template, without any content. Choose it by clicking the 'Select' button.
5. Type in the name you want to give to your template. A new template will be created in "Resources - My Templates" using the blank template you have selected. 
6. In the main menu, go to "Resources - My Templates" so that you can see the blank template you have created.
7. Click on the "Edit" icon on the blank template. This will open the online editor so you can design it to your liking by adding the blocks of elements you need, your logo, change colours, etc. When you have finished click "Save".

Import your html template

If you have an html template you can import it and use it in Acrelia News. You can import your html template in two different ways:

• Import file

1. In the main menu select "Resources - My templates".
2. Click on the "Add" button
3. Click on the tab "Import file".
4. Enter the name you want to identify the template with
5. Click on the "Select a file" button to add your file in HTML format (The file cannot exceed 1Mb maximum size and must comply with the formatting rules of our templates)
6. Click on the "Import" button
7. In the main menu, go to "Resources - My Templates" to view the template you have created.

• Paste content

1. In the main menu select "Resources - My Templates".
2. Click on the "Add" button
3. Click on the tab "Paste content".
4. In the "Template Name" field, enter the name you want to identify the template with.
5. Copy your HTML code and paste it into the "Content" box.
6. Click the "Import" button
7. In the main menu, go to "Resources - My Templates" to see the template you have created.
