Concatenated SMS

The SMS messaging system allows sending messages of up to 160 characters, reduced to 70 when including accents, emoticons, or other special characters. In case more characters are needed, concatenated SMS can be used.

How do concatenated SMS work?

The concatenated SMS system divides the plain text message you want to send (more than 160 characters) into different parts. These messages also include a distinctive feature that allows terminals to order them to display them correctly. Although these messages are sent in different concatenated SMS, they will be displayed as a single message on the device.
